Duties:Represent clients in hearings, mediations, trials, and appealsDirect and supervise the work of support staffDraft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and ordersPrepare equitable distribution charts and divide marital assets, including real estateConduct monthly file review meetingsMonitor retainer balances and communicate replenishment needs to the billing specialistCommunicate with clients to understand their goals and develop corresponding legal strategiesAdvocate on behalf of clients by analyzing situations and forming effective strategiesCommunicate with senior partners and paralegals to move through the civil litigation processRepresent clients in court proceedings as needed Requirements:Must have a license to practice law in either West Virginia or Ohio; willingness to obtain the other state licensure upon employmentPrior family law experience preferredExcellent oral communication skillsJuris Doctor Degree Skills:Strong negotiation skillsAbility to manage a high volume of cases effectively Education:Juris Doctor Degree Certifications:License to practice law in West Virginia or Ohio
