Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Division Director of Operations for the Strike Division. This individual will be based in Melbourne, FL, reporting directly to the Strike Division General Manager as part of the Executive Leadership team. This individual will be responsible for identifying and implementing best practices to realize improved strategic program execution across the Division portfolio, consistent and standardized PM skills and operational optimization relative to Sector and Enterprise resources. The role requires partnership across the Division and Sector to best understand the Division objectives, and ensuring Division efforts are aligned and efficiently execute in support of those objectives. This requires the ability to process large amounts of information, synthesizing, and integrating to meet various leadership team needs. What You'll Get to Do: * Manage business operations for the Division, including operational rhythm, consolidated data, planning and reporting as applicable.* Establish and integrate a cohesive Strike facilities strategy, inclusive of IT, security and facilities management requirements, and associated capital planning* Set the tone for an engaged and unified Division culture. Lead and support employee engagement activities across the Division including recognition programs, site and team engagements, and web interfaces and feedback* Support the Division VP in strategic activities and initiatives, including but not limited to Long Range Strategic Planning (LRSP)/annual operating plan (AOP), investment planning, division and organizational objectives, functional review of proposals/pursuits, functional reviews with leadership, and affordability initiatives.* Division reporting on key and common metrics across the programs* Support Capital and NCTA project planning for the Division in support of strategic objectives. * Lead continuous improvement activities with a focus on common frameworks, program management acumen, best practices, and early adoption of Digital Transformation.* Represent the Division in partnership with the Sector Program Management function to build and mentor cohort of Program Managers to enable program execution excellence.* Provide program execution support and guidance as needed.* Collaborate with direct cross-functional teams to improve program execution processes for cost and schedule execution, identify emerging trends and government processes, that warrant new or updated training and communications to PMs.* Lead and collaborate across functional organizations to create strong partnerships with sector leadership teams and other disciplines needed to realize effective program management.* Represent the BU on Division and Sector process improvement teams and other Division projects as applicable.* Oversee additional Division projects and engage with leadership on behalf of and representative of the General Manager as assigned.The selected candidate should be self-driven and thrive in fast-paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels, including executive leadership. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 10 years of related experience, OR a Master's degree with 8 years related experience; Including 3 years in program or project management leadership;* Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.* Minimum of 5 years of in-depth experience in program/project management or technical team leadership* Must have an active DoD Secret level or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.* Ability to travel up to 35% of time Preferred Qualifications: * Current TS/SCI clearance.* 3+ years in formal program management leadership with cost and schedule responsibility* Knowledge and experience with Northrop Grumman program management process* Highly advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills. Salary Range: $181,000 - $271,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
